Ambassador Upadhyay requests Indian Minister for 'push supply' of petroleum products to Nepal

Kathmandu, March 3: Nepali Ambassador to India, Deep Kumar Upadhyay, has requested Indian Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan, to make some special arrangement for ‘push supply’ of the petroleum products to meet the daily fuel requirement of the general public in Nepal.
Ambassador Upadhyay made the request during a courtesy call on the Indian Minister at the latter’s office in New Delhi Thursday evening.
Issuing a press release following the meeting, Nepal's Embassy in New Delhi said the two also discussed the daily requirement and supply of fuels to Nepal. Similarly, views on bilateral relations and cooperation between Nepal and India were exchanged during the meeting.
In response to the Ambassador's request, Minister Pradhan directed high officials at his Ministry to make necessary coordination for the ‘push supply’ as per the requirement of Nepal.
The high officials at the Ministry for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India and the diplomats of the Nepal Embassy, New Delhi, were also present during the meeting. RSS
