Earthquake Safety Day programme at Sankhu

Kathmandu, Jan 9: The 29th Earthquake Safety Day for this year is being marked on coming Magh 2 (Jan 15) organizing a programme at Sankhu, an old cultural town in the northern outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley.
Information to this was shared by the publicity sub-committee under the Earthquake Safety Day Main Organizing Committee at a press conference on Monday. The main organizing committee is coordinated by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi.
The programme in Sankhu would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. There will be five-day long exhibition on earthquake safety, said Officiating Director at Urban Development and Building Construction, Maniram Gelal.
Even the message-laden street drama and rallies would be organized.
Director at National Society of Earthquake Technology Nepal, Bijay Krishna Upadhyay, informed that there would be 22 stalls in the exhibition.
Nepal has been marking the Earthquake Safety Day since 2056 BS.
