Foreign Affairs Minister Mahat leaves for Qatar

Kathmandu, Jan 10: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, has said that guaranteeing the rights of some 4,000 Nepali living in Qatar was top priority of his visit.
Talking to media persons at Tribhuvan International Airport before his departure for Qatar at the invitation of his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Jassim Al Thani, Foreign Affairs Minister Mahat said, "I will stress for the protection of rights of Nepalis working in Qatar as well as for providing them with facilities as per International standard."
Saying discussion regarding increasing mutual cooperation between Nepal and Qatar and attracting Qatari investment in economic development of Nepal would take place during the visit, he said that discussion would focus in finding areas of mutual support and cooperation.
The Foreign Affairs Minister also shared that he would hold discussion focusing on the national welfare of the Nepal and resolving problems of migrant workers.
