  • UML wins Mayoral post in Besisahar and Sundarbazaar municipalities

    Lumjung, May 19: CPN (UML) has won the election to the post of Mayor of Besisahar and Sundarbazaar municipalities in Lumjung district.

     

    Guman Singh Aryal of the CPN (UML) has been elected to the post of Mayor of the Besisahar Municipality with 7,624 votes. His closest rival Bhesh Bahadur Poudel of the Nepali Congress received 7,327 votes.

     

    Similarly, Laxmi Adhikari of the CPN (UML) got victorious to the post of Deputy-Mayor. She got 7,575 votes while her closest rival Indira Tiwari of the Nepali Congress received 6,973 votes.

     

    The CPN (UML) and NC have won the election to the post of chairperson in six and five wards respectively.

     

    Meanwhile, Janak Mishra of the CPN (UML) has been elected to the post of Mayor of Sundarbazaar Municipality with 4,969 votes. Mishra's nearest rival Badriman Shresha of the NC got 3,485 votes.

    Likewise, an independent candidate, Dwarika Mishra, has got victorious to the post of Deputy Mayor with 2,730 votes. She defeated her closest rival Gyanu Shah of NC with 844 votes.

    Similarly, NC Mayoral candidate has, Ramesh Kumar Pandey, won the election of Madhya Nepal Municipality while Raj Kumar Shrestha of the CPN (UML) has been elected to the post of Deputy-Mayor.  RSS
