  • Economists suggest govt not to bring budget affecting election

    Kathmandu, May 19:  Economists have suggested to the government not to bring the budget affecting the second phase of local polls. 

    In a face-to-face programme here today, National Planning Commission former vice-chairman Dr Deependra Bahadur Kshetri opined for bringing the provisional budget following the constitution provisions. 

     Economist and former ambassador Dr Shankar Sharma said that the budget should be brought allocating more rights to local levels.  He added that the government was in confusion to allocate the budget in local levels. 

    Likewise, economist Dr Dilliraj Khanal stressed on the need of developing the budget focusing on specific sectors.  He added that the country could be developed if the rights were given to local levels. RSS
